  3. Traveling is…

    Viajar es marcharse de casa,

es dejar los amigos es intentar volar,

    volar conociendo otras ramas,

Traveling is leaving home, it’s leaving friends, it’s trying to fly, it’s flying to see other parts, taking different paths, it is trying to change.  Traveling is wearing crazy clothes, it’s saying “I don’t care”, it’s wanting to return.  Traveling is valuing the small things, tasting a cup, its the desire to begin.  Traveling is feeling like a poet, it’s writing a letter, it’s wanting to hug.  It’s hugging at the arrival to a port, it’s missing the calmness, it’s stopping kissing.  Traveling is returning to the mundane, it’s meeting other people, it’s returning to the beginning.  Beginning to extend your hand, learning the hard way, it’s feeling alone.  Traveling is leaving home, wearing crazy clothes, saying everything and nothing with a post card.  It’s sleeping in another bed, feeling that time is short, traveling is returning.

  10. "Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, TO LIVE EVERYTHING. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer."

The Church says: the body is a sin.
Science says: the body is a machine.
Advertising says: The body is a business.
The Body says: I am a fiesta.”

  15. Ahh this is why climbing is awesome…  it’s empowering, strengthening, cleansing, and humbling.  Climbing always has its own way of teaching you things.   It teaches you to focus, prioritize, take care of yourself, set goals, make damn good decisions, to listen, to trust.   The sport constantly urges you to be better.   The challenge always ends up showing yourself exactly what you have to work on and that you’re ultimately stronger than you think you are.   Climbing makes the impossible seem even a bit more possible, whatever your next move might be.  Check out this awesome video about how rock climbing provides a positive outlet to confront challenges of life in favelas of Rio de Janeiro.
